Privacy Policy
Ascenyx is a life OS in development. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what the public website at ascenyx.app collects — and nothing more than that.
1. What this policy covers
This policy covers the public website at ascenyx.app: the waitlist signup form and the beta report form. It does not cover data handled inside the Ascenyx app, because the app is not yet publicly available. When the app launches, this policy will be updated before or alongside that release.
The website has no user accounts, no payments, and no downloads. The only information you can submit is through those two forms.
2. What we collect and why
Waitlist signups
- Email address (required). Used to email you about Ascenyx — a confirmation when you join, and launch updates.
- Beta interest (optional). The “I’d like to test early builds” checkbox. If you tick it, we store a yes/no flag with your entry and email you with next steps — asking you to reply with your name and your device. Expressing interest doesn’t automatically grant access, and replying doesn’t verify your identity.
- A small technical tag and timestamp. Our signup code records that the entry came from the website and when you joined. This is for our own record-keeping — not for tracking you across other sites.
Beta reports
- Platform. Whether the issue happened on iPhone, Android, or somewhere else.
- Your description. The text you write in the report. Please don’t include sensitive personal information in a bug report.
- Email address (optional). Only if you want a reply.
- Timestamp. When the report arrived.
Reports are saved in our database and emailed to our inbox at ascenyxapp@gmail.com so the team sees them. The beta password you enter is verified and then discarded — it is never stored.
Technical and security data
- Like any website, requests to ascenyx.app are handled by our hosting provider (Cloudflare), which processes standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and request time to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Our own code does not store IP addresses. They are used briefly in server memory to limit abusive traffic — for example, repeated spam submissions — and are then discarded.
- A hidden anti-bot field silently discards automated submissions; those are not stored.
3. Cookies and tracking
We do not set cookies, use browser storage, or run advertising or cross-site trackers on this site. We do not sell or share your information for advertising. Two things are still worth knowing:
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may provide us with aggregate, cookie-free traffic statistics (such as how many visits the site received) at the network level.
- Fonts on this site are delivered by Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google’s servers to load them.
4. Emails from Ascenyx
If you join the waitlist, we may email you — a confirmation when you join, and occasional launch updates. If you ticked the beta box, that first email instead carries beta next steps and asks you to reply. Messages come from hello@ascenyx.app, and you can reply to any of them: replies go to ascenyxapp@gmail.com. Signing up twice doesn’t produce a second confirmation. If you’d rather not receive anything, email us and we’ll remove you from the list.
5. Third-party services
The site uses a small number of providers to operate:
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, database, and edge security for ascenyx.app.
- Google — Google Fonts for page typography.
- Resend — our email delivery service. It sends the messages we author (your waitlist confirmation and launch updates) from hello@ascenyx.app, and replies are routed to ascenyxapp@gmail.com.
These providers process data only as needed to provide their service to us. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t share it for advertising.
6. How long we keep data
We keep waitlist entries while we prepare the launch, and beta reports while they’re useful for fixing the app. There is no automatic purge. If you want your email address or a report removed, email ascenyxapp@gmail.com and we’ll delete it — usually within a few days. Once it’s deleted, it’s gone from our database.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to its use. Email us and we’ll help. You can also simply ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time — you don’t need a reason.
8. Security
The site runs over HTTPS with strict browser security headers. Form submissions are validated and rate-limited, database queries are parameterized, the beta report form is protected by a shared beta password, and credentials are kept server-side. No website can promise perfect security, but we work to keep the data we hold minimal and protected.
9. Children’s privacy
Ascenyx is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we’ll remove the entry.
10. Changes to this policy
If our data practices change — for example, when the app launches — we’ll update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be described here.
11. Contact
Questions, requests, or concerns: ascenyxapp@gmail.com. We’re a small team, and replies go to a person.
